It's hard enough being an undergraduate student, an intern at Downtown Manhattan's police station, and a bouncer at a local bar. Add her now ex-boyfriend who recently dumped her for the school's resident bimbo—oh, and she's a werewolf.
Mackenzie Grey meets her match when she is kidnapped by the Brooklyn Pack and tossed between Sebastian and Jonah—the Alpha and the Beta. Being a lone-wolf in the city is dangerous, and now that the Pack has found her, so can every supernatural being in the Tri-State area. And not even her sarcastic, smart mouth can get her out of this.

When a string of kidnappings involves Mackenzie in supernatural politics, she questions her new acquaintances and finds unlikely allies. Can she escape Pack law and keep her freedom—or will she be condemned to an unwanted path?

I haven't read a shifter book in years, I forgot how much I loved them. Reading Shift, Karina Espinosa has revived my love for this genre. I really got hooked straight from the beginning. I really loved the characters, they were so realistic that you can't help but to connect with each one of them. Mackenzie was very headstrong, I loved her character. She was very determined to be herself and not what others wanted her to be. Sebastian and Jonah, what can I say about these two except they are both so very hot! Sebastian, I really hated in the beginning, I didn't want to like him but he grows on you. Jonah, he wears his heart on his sleeve and I'm calling dibs on him. He is def my fave character out of all the characters in the book. All three of the main characters were stubborn and set in their ways so there was a lot of head butting, but it was so fast paced, once I started there was no putting it down. Each turn of the page there was more drama unfolding, def kept me up all night reading. I also think Jackson needs his own spin off. I really enjoyed reading this and feel others will as well, I highly recommend reading Shift and I can't wait to see what this author has in store for the rest of the series.

Witnessing first-hand the barbaric treatment of Lunas, Mackenzie has to make a choice—follow the prediction of her Vision Quest or let herself be CAGED...

I can't say enough how much in love I am with this series, it's different from what Ive read before. The drama, the suspense, the emotions!! There's no way you can put this book down once you get started. Karina Espinosa has a way with words that sweeps you into her stories and you just want to live there forever. Mackenzie Grey tries to run and avoid her life but that doesn't work out very well for her, not when people start to realize who she really is. We meet new characters and lose ones we've come to love but this is an amazing tell of Urban Fantasy and one of the first Ive read. I always had a love for shape shifters, especially wolves and Karina just fills my obsession with this series. I am still Team Jonah at this point, my heart really goes out to him, he's so sweet. I really love me a good love triangle but I always go for the underdogs. This is def a book you want to read over and over again because you wont be able to get enough of these characters, except for Roman. He needs to take his vampire butt somewhere else LOL

Mackenzie Grey never felt as vulnerable as she does now—but that won’t stop her from getting what she wants: revenge. Kenz and her friends journey to a new land where everyone has a motive and everyone is a suspect.
The Lunas find their voices after the massacre but question still stands—who is the real enemy? If Mackenzie wants to free herself, she will need to free them all; and it won’t be easy. As she approaches her 24th birthday—in the middle of a web of lies, deception, and murder—Kenz has to weave her way to the truth before she’s next on the chopping block.

With her companions, Mackenzie will make her final stand and change the course of the Lycan world forever…

Karina Espinosa has done it again! She has managed to capture me and leave me on a book high, once again! I really love this series, we see just how stubborn, Mackenzie truly is. Rules are meant to be broken, especially those Mackenzie Grey disagrees with, which is most of them LOL I think we've all figured out by now that Mackenzie plays by her own rules, that is til she hurts those she loves most. So much drama, emotions, action and of course romance! As much as Ive always loved Jonah, I think Bash is starting to win me over (ssshhh don't tell the author I said that, Ill never admit to it) Mackenzie is being tried for the massacre, trying to save her friends and family, all at the same time figuring out who she really is. I need OMEGA like now, I really need to see what happens, next. Who will she choose, or has she already? Because my heart is being torn in many pieces! I really love the characters, the detail and everything Karina brings to the table with this series. I can't get enough of it.

Blurb:
Bodies drained of blood are scattered around New York City. With a serial killer on the loose, Mackenzie Grey is obsessed with solving the murders. She dives into her work at the Supernatural Investigative Unit to forget about the events that dismantled her Pack a year ago. When the killer makes Kenz the target, she falls down the rabbit hole and discovers she has a lot more to do with these murders than she realized.
As her past creeps up behind her, she must swallow her pride and seek aid from old and new friends.
In the epic finale of the Mackenzie Grey: Origins series, she will finally become the wolf she is destined to be…

um wow! That ending, I really love Kenzie and the world she finds herself into in this series. I am still on a book high and am sad to see this series end. I really enjoyed getting to new the characters, big and small. Karina is so detailed with her writing you can see the words and characters leap off the page at you. You can vividly see in your mind what's being written. I really love the way she ended this series, even if she did tear my heart out. With Omega I felt myself more drawn to Bash than Jonah, although my heart still went out to him. Kenzie is still finding herself in so much drama, even if she doesn't want it, its being brought to her regardless. Her "step" brother and the Fae Queen are out for revenge and will stop at nothing to get what they want. Even if that means taking those close to Kenzie. My emotions were all over the place with Omega, I loved everything about it. I felt we got to see another side of Mackenzie. We knew she was head strong and powerful, but we also knew she was vulnerable and we got to see more of that vulnerable side of her. It made her feel more real, more relatable. She finally realized that although she was kick ass, she wasn't undefeatable. This was a big wake up call for her. It was either fight for those she loved or give up and risk not only her life but theirs as well.

Def my fave series Ive read in 2017, highly recommend reading this, especially if you love shifters, witches, vampires and love triangles. This series will keep you wanting more, even at the very end.
