In one night of snow and blood, Alena Athscar lost her family, her home
and her name. Raised in secret and trained by the Guild of thieves and
assassins, the lost girl returns to the world as Slayer, a hunter of monsters.
But it is not just beasts and demons she must face.
The sorcerers of the Sacred hold dominion over the realms of Centuros,
forcibly inducting any they chose and punishing all who deny them. They are
Slayer's new employer, yet she possesses the very thing they seek and will stop
at nothing to claim.

‘The elf, wolf, and highborn,’ the Guildmaster said. ‘With a Wraith at
their lead.’
‘And the favour of a sorcerer of the Sacred, don’t forget,’ she said,
with Jakseyth’s letter still in hand.
‘Quite the assortment,’ he said with pride. ‘You will have to think up a
name for your group.’
‘The Sacred, they are the highest order in our land, correct?’ she asked.
‘Very much so,’ he replied begrudgingly.
‘We are the opposite,’ she said with arrowhead pendant in hand. ‘Shunned,
orphaned, cursed, unwanted, and indebted, forsaken and nameless...’
‘The Forsaken, led by the Wraith,’ Brevik decided.
‘I like that,’ she said with a smile.
‘TO WRAITH,’ Brevik declared with a raised tankard. ‘LEADER OF THE
FORSAKEN.’
‘TO WRAITH,’ the Coin cheered as one, Raven, Fenrix, and Quinlan among
them.
Fate and the Gods have decided my path, Wraith thought as the applause continued, and so begins my legend.
